Dr. Kasey is a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from James Madison University. She also has a Masters in Community Counseling from a CACREP accredited Counseling Psychology program at James Madison University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology and African American Studies from the University of Virginia. Dr. Kasey has 15 years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds across the lifespan. Dr. Kasey has also completed specialized training in PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and Couples therapy.
As a clinician, Dr. Kasey views the therapy process as a collaborative experience, in which the client and therapist work together on the client's goals and presenting concerns. Furthermore, Dr. Kasey sees the therapeutic relationship as a facilitative condition for promoting change. Thus, she appreciates the opportunity to work with clients in increasing their insight and developing coping strategies to work through life's struggles.
Aside from therapy, Dr. Kasey is sensitive to issues of diversity and believes in the health and well-being of people of color. She integrates a culturally sensitive lens in her therapy and coaching. She also offers cultural sensitivity training and workshops to nonprofit organizations, businesses, sports teams, schools and universities. Dr. Kasey also provides consultation and coaching services. She has a passion for empowering professionals on their journey in career advancement, leadership, and team building.
Redirection Counseling, Coaching, and Consulting Services are centrally located at 1410 17th Ave South. The office is on Music Row in Nashville, convenient to Brentwood, Vanderbilt, Belmont, Fisk, Meharry, and Tennessee State University.
